T-Rex (Tyrannosaurus Rex) vs Triceratop

199.6 million to 145.5 million years ago... The Jurassic period was characterized by a warm, wet climate that gave rise to lush vegetation and abundant life. Many new dinosaurs emerged—in great numbers. Among them were stegosaurs, brachiosaurs, allosaurs, and many others. There were many juicy and large leaf plants to feed the herbivor.

One of the aggressive dinosaur that lived in the Jurassic period is T-Rex (Tyrannosaurus Rex). Actually, T-Rex are carnivore (meat eater). They usually like to prey alone or prey in a couple.

T-Rex (Tyrannosaurus Rex)

Size: 40 ft (12 m) long; 15 to 20 ft (4.6 to 6 m) tall
Weight: up to 6.8 metric tons

A T-Rex just only has one pairs of small arm, thus they cannot use their hand to fight, hunt and kill others dinosaurs. The only way to do that killing action is use their heavy skull, sharp teeth and their big jaw either to hit or attack the the others dinosaurs. Can you imagine from its thick, heavy skull to its 4-foot-long (1.2-meter-long) jaw, was designed for maximum bone-crushing action. Thus, they can easily crush a dinosaur's bone by their strong, big and sharp jaw for food.

A T-Rex can run fast but not as fast as others dinosaur. This is because their large size and their heavy weight. They not a good runner, they will be exhaust and give up and stop chasing after a long chasing time.

Besides that, a T-Rex is a good hunter because it has a strong sense of smelling. T-Rex rivalled bloodhounds in their ability to smell prey. They much better at sniffing out prey. No one can stop it! They are using their strong sense of smelling for hunting. Therefore, if we meet with the T-Rex, we just stop moving and stop breathing to avoid their sense.

On the other hand, triceratops are herbivore (plant eater). They are in group dinosaurs. They usually stick together in their group for feeding and mating.

They have large and hard shield head. On their head, there are two long and sharp horns on their upper head and a short horn on their nose. They usually use the horns for battling and protect themself in danger.

Within that time, it shared the landscape with and was preyed upon by the fearsome Tyrannosaurus, though it is less certain that the two did battle in the manner often.

The T-Rex will bite their horn to avoid from their attack. The strong bite of the jaw of T-Rex will try to bite the triceratop's neck and shake the head of the triceratops. Bur no problem for a triceratop to protect itself, T-rex takes it most of the time. despite the triceretops protected neck and deadly horns. The T-rex could avoid those horns and bit the triceretops back, flanks, or even kick it over and bite the underpart which would end the triceretops life.. To avoid from the attack of the T-Rex, the triceraptops will continue to fight against the T-Rex by forcing their horns to the T-Rex to let the T-Rex know its hard to be bite and leave them alone. The T-Rex will be injure because of the sharp horns as a warning. This is how triceratops protect themselves.
